Brett Smith also named CHL all-star

Center Brett Smith has been named to the CHL's league all-star team, the Komets announced today.

Smith will join goaltender Nick Boucher, who was named a starter for the team earlier this week.

The Jan. 11 game in Prescott Valley, Ariz., matches a team of league all-stars against the host Arizona Sundogs.

Smith has 12 goals, 35 points and a plus-16 plus-minus rating, and was named the league's player of the month for November. He was a member of the Bossier-Shreveport team that won last year's league title.
