Mad Ants lose 4th straight

Fall to L.A. in overtime

The Mad Ants suffered their fourth consecutive loss Friday in a 104-97 overtime loss to the Los Angeles D-Fenders at Memorial Coliseum.

The Ants (4-8) owned a two-point lead in the final seconds of regulation, but Los Angeles tied the game at 91-all on Mardy Collins’ put-back basket with 15.6 seconds remaining.

Fort Wayne had a chance to win in regulation, but a close shot from the right angle by Walker Russell Jr. hit high on the backboard.

Darnell Lazare led the Ants with 27 points and 10 rebounds, and Ron Howard added 23 points.

The Ants will face Canton on New Year’s Day.
