Farewell to Southern Utah

Today will probably be the last time we'll see Southern Utah.

The Thunderbirds will be leaving the Summit League after this season and will go into the Big Sky Conference.

Southern Utah enters Memorial Coliseum on a thee-game winning streak, which includes a 91-77 win at UMKC. The Thunderbirds also defeated South Dakota, 81-75. IPFW beat South Dakota by a similar margin, 92-87 exactly a month ago at Memorial Coliseum.

Southern Utah will send a balanced scoring attack against the Mastodons. Four of the starters average in double figures, led by Rammell Taylor, a 6-fot-5 senior from Detroit who averages 13.2 per game. Three others average 12.8, 11.3 and 11.2, and the fifth starter averages 9.3.

A note from IPFW: Senior center Trey McCorkle's field goal percentage of 60.0 has him 17th in the nation among NCAA Division I players.
