Scrap-a-thon fundraiser set for Kate's Kart

Kate's Kart, a local non-profit that provides books to hospitalized children, is hosting a scrap-a-thon weekend in March to raise money. The three-day event will include scrapbooking, card making and other paper crafting - with your own supplies of course.

The cost is $50 for a three-day weekend. The event will be March 16 to 18 at the Allen County Sheriff Reserve Hall, 3022 Easterday Road, Fort Wayne (off of Wallen Road between Lima and Huegenard roads).

For that $50 cost, $25 of which will hold your spot with the balance due by March 2, you can gather with other scrappers from 5 p.m. to midnight March 16; 9 a.m. to midnight March 17; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 18.

It also includes snacks that Friday night; two meals on the Saturday and lunch on Sunday (meals include drinks and additional beverages will be available for purchase). The event will also feature prizes and raffles.

Seating is limited, so register soon as the folks at Kate's Kart tell me the event is likely to sell out.

To register, download the PDF form attached or contact Laura Tranbarger at laura@kateskart.org.
