Mad Ants lose to Tulsa

The Mad Ants concluded their NBA D-League Showcase stay in Reno with a 111-92 loss to the Tulsa 66ers on Thursday afternoon.

The Ants (7-12) trailed from nearly the outset, falling behind 32-20 after the first quarter, 67-41 at halftime and 96-62 going into the final quarter. Only a 30-point fourth period prevented the Ants from their worst loss of the season. Earlier this year they were beaten at Canton by 21 points, 114-93.

Tulsa (10-8) hit 54 percent from the floor on 46 of 85 shooting. The Ants connected on 34 of 75 shots for a 45.3 percentage.

Walker Russell Jr. led the Ants with 19 points, while Ramon Harris had 12 and Darnell Lazare had 11.

The Mad Ants return to Memorial Coliseum on Sunday for a 5 p.m. game against Dakota.
