The last day for recycling live Christmas trees is Friday, the Allen County Solid Waste Management District has announced.

Trees can be dropped off at these locations:

  • Allen County Highway Garage, 2234 Carroll Road;
  • Foster Park West, soccer field parking lot west side;
  • Foellinger Theatre, back parking lot southwest corner;
  • Shoaff Park -- Conklin Pavilion;
  • McMillen Park -- pool parking lot;
  • Monroeville compost site, 200 Utility Drive;
  • Jury Park, New Haven;
  • Meadowbrook School, New Haven, parking lot;
  • New Haven City Hall, 815 Lincoln Highway East;
  • Front Street, Woodburn, under the water tower; and
  • Grabill and Schwartz roads, Leo-Cedarville, across from Riverside Gardens Park.
Trees will not be picked up with regular trash, and ornaments, tinsel and plastic bags must be removed, the district said. It said wreaths would not be accepted.
