Keys to the game

Indiana dropped its second straight game, losing at Ohio State 80-63 on Sunday.

The No. 7 Hoosiers scored just 14 points in the first half to fall to 15-3 overall, 3-3 in the Big Ten. The No. 5 Buckeyes improved to 16-3 overall, 4-2 in conference play.

Key run: Ohio State's Jared Sullinger made a basket with 17:12 left in the first half to start the Buckeyes on a 13-2 run. When it ended the Buckeyes had a 20-7 lead.

Key number: 12. The number of turnovers in the first half for IU. Indiana had six turnovers during a nearly nine minute stretch when it did not score a point.

Local connection: Bishop Luers standout Deshaun Thomas scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting for the Buckeyes. He also had three rebounds and three assists.
