Yes, that Mike Bloomberg

Mayor Tom Henry received donations from numerous people during his reelection campaign, including several from outside Fort Wayne.

But one $3,000 donation on his most recent finance report stood out for its political relevance. He listed the contribution coming from Michael R. Bloomberg, of New York, received on Nov. 7, the day before the municipal election.

Bloomberg is listed as a government worker, and two sources confirmed to Political Notebook that it was indeed from the mayor of New York. The sources also independently confirmed the donation was in relation to Henry's involvement in the Mayor's Against Illegal Guns group, which is partly spearheaded by Bloomberg.

The group's stated mission is to work toward stopping criminals from getting guns illegally. While Henry has not pushed any anti-gun legislation, he is listed as one of the mayors supporting the group on its website www.mayorsagainstillegalguns.org.
