SCAN gets grant for Burmese clients

Statement issued Friday:

Fort Wayne, IN – SCAN Inc. has received a $2,000 Child Restraint Distribution Grant from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute to purchase child car seats for Burmese clients. The first of several safety education and car seat fitting events for existing Burmese clients is Jan. 25th.

“We are pleased to have been chosen for this funding opportunity,” said Rachel Tobin-Smith, SCAN executive director. “Our goal is to protect more area children from injury, harm or death, whether they are at home, traveling in cars or out in the community. This grant helps us fulfill SCAN’s mission of preparing parents and protecting children.”
