A snowy stretch

For the first two weeks of the month, snow lovers were lamenting our weather and people who hate the cold were basking in the unusual warmth. That seems like a long time ago now.

Over the past week, we’ve been reminded that it is still mid-January and this is still northern Indiana.

We may have had an easy start to the month, but winter is a long way from over, and there are still signs out there that point to a colder than normal February.

Weather wise: It isn’t just the cold air that has changed. All of the sudden we’ve had snow and snow that sticks around. Friday’s official total of 3.8 inches brought us to 24 inches for the season.
