Restrictions scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until early February
Statement issued Monday:
Allen County, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the ongoing lane restrictions for northbound and southbound I-69 are weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., until early February.
The restrictions are due to sound barrier wall work.
The southbound I-69 shoulder, between mile marker 116 to 120, is restricted due to work in the right-of-way. This work is in preparation for construction of the sound barrier wall that will be constructed in the spring.
The northbound I-69 Coldwater Road deceleration lane for Exit 112A is closed, but the exit is open. Exit 112A leads to southbound Coldwater Road. Exit 112B is not affected. A total of approximately 500 feet from the front and back sections of the walls will be removed. The walls that will be removed are being re-used for other locations in Allen County as part of this project.
As this project continues, there will be other intermittent lane restrictions that will be announced as they occur.
This work is weather permitting.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in late summer of 2012.
