Notre Dame came out of halftime a new team offensively against Tennessee on Monday.
The No. 2 Irish scored on their first five attempts in the second half as they took control in an eventual 72-44 victory over the No. 9 Volunteers in Purcell Pavilion.
Notre Dame (20-1) went 11 of 31 from the floor in the first half. The Irish finished the second half 19 of 29 from the floor.
Skylar Diggins led Notre Dame with 27 points, and Kayla McBride added 17. Devereaux Peters also reached double digits, scoring 16.
Meighan Simmons led Tennessee (14-5) with 13 points as the Volunteers never got in an offensive rhythm inside a soldout Purcell Pavilion. Tennessee shot 17 of 61 (27.9 percent) in the loss.
