The National Weather Service in northern Indiana has issued a wind advisory for much of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio until 7 p.m. today, with sustained winds of 20 mph to 30 mph expected.
Strong, gusty winds are expected to continue all day, with some areas of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio getting 45 mph blasts.
Indiana Toll Road officials said late Monday morning they are considering a ban on some long trucks.
The weather service said the following counties are under the advisory:
- Indiana – Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, Whitley, La Porte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, Fulton, White, Cass, Miami, Grant, Blackford and Jay,
- Ohio – Defiance, Paulding, Van Wert, Williams, Fulton, Henry, Putnam and Allen.
