Purdue trails early in second half

Michigan leads Purdue 39-31 with 17:01 left in the second half Tuesday at Mackey Arena. The No. 20 Wolverines opened the second half on a 9-3 run.

Michigan led Purdue 30-28 at halftime. Robbie Hummel had nine points in the first half. He didn't attempt his first shot until 7:37 was left in the half.

Purdue finished the half on a 7-2 run.

Stu Douglass scored seven points in the first half for Michigan.
