AT THE LIBRARY:

•Main library, 900 Library Plaza, will have “Gamers Nights” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Young Adult Services.

AUDITIONS:

•IPFW Department of Theatre is having auditions for “The Good Person of Szechuan” 1:30 p.m. Sunday at IPFW’s Williams Theatre, 2101 Coliseum Blvd. E. Those auditioning need to prepare a 60- to 90-second monologue from a play by Bertolt Brecht and a 30-second contemporary/pop song. Performance dates are April 13 to 22 at IPFW.

•Van Wert Civic Theatre, Van Wert, Ohio, will have auditions for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the theatre. Thirteen men and four women are needed. The show opens March 29 and runs for two weeks. For information, call 419-238-2996.

RECOGNITION:

•Bishop Luers High School Show Choir Minstrels earned grand champion at the Twin Lakes Show Choir Invitational in Monticello. The Minstrels also received best band and best vocals and Morgen Figel was recognized as dynamic performer.

•Phyllis Boester, Fort Wayne Children’s Choir artistic staff member and a music specialist at Harris Elementary School, received the prestigious Kodály Music Certificate from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.

WORKSHOPS:

•Wassenberg Art Center, Van Wert, Ohio, will offer “Premier Coup,” in which artists complete a painting in one sitting; 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday; $45 members, $50 non-members; call 419-238-6837 to sign up and for additional classes.
