Nominations

St. Mary Catholic Church is accepting nominations for the 2012 Father Tom O’Connor Light of Christ Award. The award committee is looking for people of all faith traditions who are high school age or older and volunteer in the educational realm. Fundraiser

Our Hope Lutheran Church, 1826 Trinity Drive in Huntertown, will have a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Feb. 4. The cost is $5 for adults, $2 for children 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and younger.

St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, 15535 Lincoln Highway E., is having a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 13 and free for children 4 and younger.

The River Christian Church, 1515 Magnavox Way, will celebrate its new, permanent building with a dedication ceremony between its 9:15 and 11 a.m. services Sunday.

St. Albans Episcopal Church, 7308 St. Joe Road, will celebrate its 50th anniversary at the 5 p.m. service on Friday. Dinner will follow at 7 p.m.

Socrates Café will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, 5310 Old Mill Road.
