A man pleaded guilty Friday in U.S. District Court to a charge of conspiracy to commit fraud with identification documents.
In December, a U.S. District Court grand jury in Fort Wayne indicted Ronald Borja, 25, on the sole count.
According to court documents, Borja and Jose Palma Martinez committed the crime between June and October 2010. In June 2010, a confidential informant called someone named Luis, who agreed to sell the informant a Social Security card and an ID card for $145 to $150.
The man on the phone was later identified as Borja. The informant met with Borja in Fort Wayne, giving him a photograph to use to make the false identification card and a down payment for the work, according to court documents.
