IPFW to face Eastern Kentucky in BracketBuster game

IPFW will visit Eastern Kentucky in Richmond, Ky., at 7 p.m. Feb. 18 to participate in the 10th annual BracketBusters event -- a three-day basketball competition involving 142 teams from 16 conferences.

It will be the third time that the Mastodons (10-11, 4-8 Summit League) have faced Eastern Kentucky (12-11, 5-5 Ohio Valley Conference). The series is tied at one game each.

Eastern Kentucky is led by 6-foot-5 senior Jaron Jones with a 17.0 scoring average.

IPFW is one of 10 Summit League teams to participate in the event.

Two teams from the Summit League will appear on ESPN or one of its network stations.

League-leading Oral Roberts will face Mid-American Conference leader Akron in a 2 p.m. home game Feb. 18 on ESPN or ESPN2, while South Dakota State will play host to MAC opponent Buffalo at 1 p.m. on ESPNU.
