Shindigz sets hiring party

Shindigz, the South Whitley company that supplies party-related products, plans to hire more than 175 seasonal workers for the upcoming spring season.

The company wants potential job seekers to participate in a Mardi Gras-themed hiring party from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at “Shindigz Party Central,” located at the corner of Broad and State streets in South Whitley. The company used a “Casino Royale Interview Extravaganza” approach to screen applicants last year for seasonal jobs.

At Tuesday’s hiring party, job applicants will tour the building, participate in a box-packing test, where they take home various Shindigz items, and interview with supervisors.

Shindigz said in a statement Thursday that it is also accepting online applications at www.shindigz.com/jobs for various positions and shifts.

Shindigz sells more than 38,000 party-related items through four different brands on websites including Shindigz.com, StumpsParty.com, AmericanProm.com and SpiritLine.com.
