A rural Steuben County woman called the sheriff's department Thursday night because she found items on and around her property that are commonly used to make meth.
Deputies went to her residence on North Old State Road 1, north of the Indiana Toll Road, and found an active meth lab in an outbuilding, according to a statement from the Steuben County Sheriff's Department.
It said meth, items used to make meth and drug paraphernalia were also found inside her home and on the property.
Jeremy Sparrow, 30, who was a guest of the homeowner, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia, the sheriff's statement posted on Facebook said.
Sparrow was held on $57,500 bond, pending an initial hearing.
The Fremont Police Department and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team assisted at the scene.
