U.S. 30 westbound reopens after truck crash

U.S. 30's westbound lanes were closed for several hours Friday morning after a crash in dense fog that involved two truck rigs.

State police at Fort Wayne reported just before 1 p.m. that the lanes had been reopened.

The Indiana Department of Transportation said the crash was at Butt Road, six miles west of Fort Wayne.

Dense fog made travel hazardous this morning, police said.

Westbound traffic was diverted at County Line Road to Lincoln Way Road in Whitley County, the road known as Washington Center Road in Allen County.

Those traveling from Fort Wayne to Columbia City were urged to use Washington Center Road or Indiana 14 to Indiana 9.
