500,000 Hoosiers sign up for quake ShakeOut

The 2012 Great Central United States ShakeOut is set for Feb. 7 and so far, more than 500,000 Hoosiers are signed up, according to its website.

Registered participants will receive information on how to plan a drill and how to talk with others about earthquake preparedness.

Registration is free, and the ShakeOut itself will take less than five minutes, the website said.
