K's outworking Gems, winning

After two periods at Memorial Coliseum, the Komets lead the Dayton Gems 2-1.

Chris Auger had the only goal of the second period, taking a long pass from Jamie Lovell, splitting two defenders and beating goaltender Larry Sterling glove-side.

Also scoring for Fort Wayne has been Bobby Chaumont, on a shot from the right circle.

Fort Wayne has really been outskating the Gems. Fort Wayne has outshot the visitors 31-20 in front of 8,123 fans.
