Conferences/ workshops

Unity of Fort Wayne Spiritual Center, 3232 Crescent Ave., will host a Spiritual Foundations of Congregational Leadership workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday. The event is for congregational leaders and sponsored by the Center for Congregations.

The Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, 5310 Old Mill Road, will hold a philosophy/spirituality discussion group at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Lifetree Café will watch a filmed interview with an apocalypse researcher and discuss the belief that the world will end in 2012 from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at New Ground Coffee Company, 5925 N. Clinton St.

Fundraisers

Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren, 6404 S. Calhoun St., will hold its “A Taste of Chocolate” event from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11. The event will feature chocolate tasting from local restaurants, bakeries and chocolatiers. The cost is $9 for adults, $5 for kids 4 to 10 and free for those 3 and younger.

The Anthony Wayne First Church of God, 6012 South Bend Drive, will serve a ham and bean dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Music

Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Road, will host the men’s gospel quartet Bound 4 Glory at 7 p.m. Feb. 11. Admission is free.

Special events

Military Families Ministry of Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County received a check for $25,000 on Jan. 26. The money was raised by listeners of WOWO 1190-AM.
