Strollers pose tip-over hazard

Bumbleride Inc. of San Diego, is recalling about 28,000 strollers owing to the front wheel breaking at the axle hub that can result in the stoller tipping over.

There have been 36 reports of the axle hubs on the Indie strollers breaking and two reports of the strollers tipping over resulting in minor injuries, the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission said.

The stollers, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at baby product stores since January 2009.

Consumers should stop using the strollers and contact Bumbleride at or call 800-530-3930 to receive a free front-wheel retrofit kit.
