Rekindled flames from an earlier fire damaged a house Sunday afternoon in Fort Wayne, according to the city fire department.
Fire crews were dispatched at 12:53 p.m. to 1415 Eagle St. They encountered smoke coming from the second floor and roof of the house near Taylor Street and Broadway.
Firefighters went inside and found flames in a second-floor bedroom and in the attic. The blaze, which caused moderate fire and smoke damage, was brought under control in 16 minutes.
No residents were in the home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
Twelve hours before this fire, the house was the scene of another fire. The first fire appears to have rekindled and caused the second one, the fire department said.
