Irish send 6 to combine

Six former Notre Dame players were invited to the NFL Scouting Combine.

Cornerback Robert Blanton, offensive tackle Tayler Dever, linebacker Darius Fleming, receiver Michael Floyd, running back Jonas Gray and safety Harrison Smith were invited to the combine on Feb. 22-28 in Indianapolis.

Blanton had 70 tackles, eight for loss, and two interceptions this season.

Dever started all 13 games this season.

Fleming had 55 tackles, seven for loss, and 3 1/2 sacks this season.

Floyd had 100 receptions for 1,147 yards with nine touchowns this season.

Gray ran for 812 yards on 114 carries with 12 touchdowns this season. He didn't play in the last two games because of a knee injury.

Smith had 90 tackles, three for loss, and broke up 10 passes this season.
