Alliance names McCollum interim president

Mick McCollum, the founding chairman of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance, has been named its interim president, the organization's board said today.

McCollum will serve until a permanent replacement is hired, the Alliance said in a statement. It said the board would form a selection committee to begin a search for a full-time president.

McCollum, a graduate of the Indiana University School of Business, started Automation Engineering in his garage in 1976. He sold the business last year.

The alliance seeks to further Allen County's employment through business retention, expansion and attraction projects.
