Suspect admits robberies role

Jackson

A 26-year-old Fort Wayne man named in charges as an accomplice in five armed robberies pleaded guilty Tuesday to his role in four of them.

Joshua C. Jackson, also known as “J-Roc,” pleaded guilty in Allen Superior Court to three charges of robbery and an additional charge of aiding in a robbery in four separate cases.

Another robbery case will be dismissed at sentencing as part of the plea agreement, as will an additional charge of battery.

Jackson was arrested in early December after a standoff with Fort Wayne police. He was charged, along with Mayson St. Clair, Charles St. Clair, Cameron Dashawn Murdock-Rolark, and Elissa J. May, in connection with a string of robberies around Fort Wayne.

He is also charged in a Nov. 3 robbery at a Huntington credit union.

As part of his guilty plea with prosecutors, Jackson must cooperate with the investigation and make restitution.

He faces a total of 24 years in prison and four years on probation when he is sentenced next month, according to the terms of the plea agreement.
