Mad Ants lose to Maine

For the third time in a week, the Mad Ants lost to the Maine Red Claws, suffering a 113-111 loss on Thursday at Memorial Coliseum.

It was the third consecutive loss overall for the Ants (10-19), who play at Canton, Ohio on Friday.

Veteran guard Ron Howard returned to the Ants after a month-long absence with a thumb injury. Howard led the team with 27 points, and rookie guard Cam Jones added 24.

With the game tied at 95 with 5:35 remaining, Maine (12-17) broke out to a 107-100 lead it never gave up.
