Goshen collision kills city resident

A Fort Wayne man died in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection about a mile west of Goshen, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department.

Michael Failor, 60, of Fort Wayne, was driving south on County Road 15 in a 2006 Chevrolet HHR shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

At the intersection with County Road 32, Failor stopped for a stop sign and then pulled in front of a westbound 2002 Ford Explorer, the sheriff's department said.

The collision killed Failor, who died at the scene. The Explorer driver, Joseph Martin, 34, of South Bend, suffered chest and knee pain.

Martin was taken to Elkhart General Hospital.

Both men were wearing seat belts, police said.
