2 file for Stutzman's seat

Two more Democrats have filed to run for Congress in Indiana's 3rd District.

Stephen G. Hope and Justin Kuhnle submitted declarations of candidacy this week with the Indiana secretary of state's office.

They join David C. Kolbe, John Forrest Roberson and Tommy A. Schrader on the May 8 ballot for the Democratic primary election.

Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., filed his candidacy in January. He is the only candidate on the Republican ballot. The filing deadline is noon Friday.

Hope lives in Leo-Cedarville and sought the Democratic congressional nomination for northeast Indiana in the 1970s, '80s and '90s, most recently in 1998.

No information was available on Kuhnle. A person by that name is a student at IPFW.
