After a couple hours of deliberation, an Allen Superior Court jury convicted 29-year-old Patrick Fluker of the September 2010 murder of a 29-year-old woman.
The jury also convicted Fluker of receiving stolen auto parts and of using a firearm to commit the murder, which adds five years to whatever sentence he receives.
While there was no physical evidence tying Fluker to the actual fatal shooting of Tiffany Mendez, jurors heard a mountain of circumstantial evidence.
There was also physical evidence tying him to the gun found near the scene – ammunition found near the scene. Mendez's undergarments and DNA were found inside a car Fluker stole and left near her body.
He faces between 45 and 65 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
