Shambaugh plans $2.1 million investment, 25 new jobs

FORT WAYNE -- A Fort Wayne commercial construction and engineering services business plans to invest more than $2.1 million and create 25 well-paying jobs.

Shambaugh & Son wants to expand its fabrication shops and make other improvements that will result in a need for computer-assisted drafting designers, engineers, estimators, project managers and control technicians.

The average salary is $60,000.

Shambaugh is seeking a pair of 10-year tax abatements on real estate and property enhancements it will make, according to an application filed with the city. The company would save $171,506.
