Josey Refner, 6, has a little fun with her grandpa, Don Aiken, as they look at themselves in one of the optical illusion mirrors at Science Central on Thursday. Josey, along with her grandpa and grandma Joanne, checked out the different science areas together. This was their first trip to Science Central. Josey said she thought the mirror exhibit was pretty cool.

Shooter's Comments: So, this was truly wild and luck. Another slow news day, but that is okay. This is a good thing, to me at least. I went feature hunting.

First, I drove around Fort Wayne's south side, where I didn't find anything. Then, I thought, "I guess I will just go to Science Central to see if anything is going on."

Sure enough, I walked downstairs by the optical illusion mirrors because I have seen them there before and thought it would be a cool shot. I saw a grandpa with his granddaughter watching themselves in a wavy mirror. Funny, I thought, so I busted out my camera, and got my settings quickly because I didn't want to miss the opportunity.

I went over there, started shooting, told them to just carry on and they did. I thought the end result was pretty amusing.
