Meth labs found in Angola home

Hendrix

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department reported finding two one-pot meth labs Thursday at a home in Angola.

About 9:40 a.m., officers with a search warrant entered the home in the 700 block of North Martha Street. Along with the one-pot labs, officers found what was believed to be methamphetamine, meth ingredients, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the sheriff’s department said.

The man living there, James Hendrix, 41, was arrested and preliminarily charged with three felonies: manufacturing meth, meth possession and maintaining a common nuisance. He was also tagged with two misdemeanors: marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hendrix was being held on $210,000 bond. He has an initial hearing slated for today.
