FORT WAYNE -- Both political parties will see contested races in the May primary for Allen County Council.
Friday was the deadline for filing a petition of candidacy, and six Republicans and five Democrats are vying for the three at-large council seats.
Two of the three incumbents – Roy Buskirk and Robert Armstrong – will seek re-election. County Councilman Paul Moss has instead filed for the open Indiana House District 52 seat currently held by Rep. David Yarde, R-Garrett, who has decided to seek a Senate seat.
Also on the Republican primary ballot are contested races for the County Commissioner seat in District 1 and County Coroner.
