High school bowlers in semistate round

The high school bowling postseason moves onto the semistate round Saturday.

Semistates will be at Pro Bowl West in Fort Wayne and at Cooper’s Sport Bowl in Anderson. Singles start at 9 a.m.; team competition at 1 p.m. The state finals will be Feb. 18 in Lafayette.

The Carroll boys and Homestead girls won team titles in the Fort Wayne regional, and Snider’s Eric Patterson and Homestead’s Sydney Brummett, the defending state champ, won the individual titles.

At the Muncie regional, defending state champion Huntington North finished second to advance to the Anderson semistate.
