Panthers to play Bruins for title

Snider had only five players score, but three were in double figures for a 56-47 victory over Columbia City to propel the No. 9 Panthers into the championship game of the Class 4A sectional at Carroll.

Snider will face Northrop at 7:30 p.m. today.

Meredith Shipman had 16 points for Snider, while Kari Barnes had 13 and Akilah Sims had 11.

In the second game at Carroll, Northrop broke away with 17 fourth-quarter points to claim a 45-41 win over the host Chargers.

Aleah Swary led the Bruins with 14 points, 12 coming in the second half, and Alaina Schwarz added 13.

Tara Plummer paced Carroll with 14 points.

Class A

CANTERBURY 94, BLACKHAWK 43: At Lakewood Park, Bailey Farley scored 29 points and Kindell Fincher had 19 in Canterbury’s victory.

LAKEWOOD PARK 54, HAMILTON 50: At Lakewood Park, the host team jumped out to a 24-12 first-quarter lead and will face Canterbury in today’s 7:30 p.m. championship.

SOUTHERN WELLS 60, MONROE CENTRAL 48: At Wes-Del, Southern Wells will face Daleville in the 7:30 p.m. title game. Mallory Preston led Southern Wells with 19 points.

Class 2A

FREMONT 57, LAVILLE 44: At Westview, Liz Carlson’s 17 points and 13 from Kaitlin Kobelak led Fremont.

PRAIRIE HEIGHTS 54, BREMEN 43: At Westview, Prairie Heights advanced to the 7 p.m. championship game.

CHURUBUSCO 31, ADAMS CENTRAL 24: At Adams Central, Churubusco held the host Flying Jets to six points in the second half. The Eagles’ Haleigh Gross had 12 points.

BISHOP LUERS 63, EASTSIDE 23: At Adams Central, Miracle Woods scored 16 points and Brooke Ridley had 10 to reach 1,000 for her career in Luers’ win against the Blazers. The Knights will face Churubusco in the 7:30 p.m. championship game today.

WEST NOBLE 44, WAWASEE 37: At Wawasee, Ashley Shepherd’s 13 points led three players in double figures for West Noble. KiLee Knafel had 21 for Wawasee. West Noble will play NorthWood, which defeated Fairfield, 51-43.

BELLMONT 51, WHITKO 45: At Mississinewa, Taylor Kuhnle had 24 points to lead Bellmont.

NORWELL 71, HERITAGE 28: At Mississinewa, Jessica Rupright’s 23 paced the Knights, who will face Bellmont at 7:30 p.m. today.

Class 4A

ELKHART MEMORIAL 52, WARSAW 41: At Goshen, Lindsay Baker had 18 for the losing Tigers.

WAYNE 57, NEW HAVEN 31: At Homestead, Imani Moore’s 22 paced the Generals.
