D.J. Byrd added 20 points as the Boilermakers (16-9, 6-6 Big Ten) ended a two-game losing streak.
Five Purdue players reached double figures in scoring. The Boilermakers snapped Northwestern’s three-game winning streak.
John Shurna led the Wildcats with 30 points. Reggie Hearn, a Snider product, finished with 16 points and eight rebounds for Northwestern (15-9, 5-7).
