Mastodons sweep Wolves aside

IPFW wasted little time bouncing back from a loss in men’s volleyball.

The Mastodons dispatched of NAIA-foe Cardinal Stritch 3-0 with wins of 25-15, 28-26, 25-22 on Saturday in the Gates Center.

Ramon Burgos led IPFW (7-4), which fell 3-1 to Ohio State on Friday, with a career-high 12 kills.

Eddie Rivera added eight kills and 27 assists, and Elon Fyfield and Dan Mader each had seven.

Adam Quinn had 17 assists for the Mastodons, who had a season-best .415 hitting percentage.

Micky Flynn had 13 kills, and Adam Cosson had 10 for the Wolves (10-8).
