McCormick to open retail store

Spicemaker McCormick and Co. Inc. says it’s returning to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

McCormick says it will open its first retail location, named McCormick World of Flavors, in the Light Street pavilion at Harborplace.

McCormick, will allow visitors to determine their personal flavor profile and gift and specialty cooking items.

GM adds training center at Buffalo-area plant

General Motors says it’s created a training center for Tonawanda, N.J., Engine employees.

Plant manager Steve Finch said last week that current and future employees will be taught about quality, safety and manufacturing – topics they’ll put to use as the plant gears up for three new engine lines.

Aircraft engines were produced at the site of the new training center during World War II. Then GM engines were made there until it closed in 2004.
