Ohio average gas prices drop, remain above $3

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio gasoline prices have dropped by more than a dime after two weeks of increases.

The state's average price for regular gas was $3.33 per gallon in a survey Monday from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That compares with about $3.45 last Monday.

Last year at this time, gas prices were hovering closer to $3, and Ohio motorists were paying about $3.04, on average.

Oil prices have held relatively steady for the last few months, but some analysts believe prices will be pushed lower this year because of anticipated weak global economic growth.
