Basketball coach accused of indecency

INDIANAPOLIS – A top Indiana boys’ basketball coach faces a misdemeanor public indecency charge after Indianapolis police say an officer found him in “a state of nudity” in his car in the company of a teenage girl.

Police arrested 65-year-old Timothy Wolf on Sunday afternoon at Eagle Creek Park on the city’s northwest side. The police report says a 17-year-old Martinsville girl also was present but does not elaborate on her involvement.

Martinsville schools Superintendent Ron Furniss was expected to discuss Wolf’s status at a Monday afternoon news conference.

A telephone message seeking comment was left at Wolf’s residence.

The Indianapolis Star reports Wolf has a record of 457-348 in 37 years of coaching, including 25 at Martinsville, and ranks 10th among active coaches for wins.
