Helping make Valentine’s Day bloom

Carole Bates assembles a rose bouquet in a vase at Gassafy Wholesale Florist for Valentine’s Day. Bates said it takes her about two minutes to finish a vase of roses. Gassafy processes about 350,000 roses in the run-up to Valentine’s Day, providing bouquets to florists and groceries locally and in Michigan, Ohio and Illinois.
