Underwear Fentanyl stash ends in charges

A woman arrested last week with 14 Fentanyl patches in her underwear was charged Tuesday with possession of a controlled substance.

Police arrested Nichole D. Fritz, 28, of the 5000 block of Gulf Drive, in a hotel room in the city Wednesday while she was with a Troy Fritz, who was wanted on a charge of armed robbery in connection to a same-day robbery of a Walgreens in Columbia City where Fentanyl patches were taken, according to a probable cause affidavit.

When police searched Nichole Fritz, a Fentanyl patch was found in her shirt pocket and police asked if she had anything else on her, she pulled the 14 patches from her underwear, court documents said.
