Missing woman found safely, police say

Runkle

Fort Wayne police say a 65-year-old Warren woman missing since Monday night has been found safely.

Earlier today, police asked for the public's help in finding Donna A. Runkle, who walked away from Parkview Hospital's emergency room on Monday night after being admitted for treatment.

Runkle was considered to be in danger because she is not a resident of Fort Wayne, was not dressed for the weather, has no family in the area and needed further medical evaluation and treatment, the statement said.

At the time she was admitted to the hospital, she was reported to be delusional, disoriented and someone who suffers from seizures.

Police did not immediately provide details about how Runkle was located.
