Girl, 4, found badly hurt in home

FORT WAYNE -- A disturbance inside a home on the city's north side has left a young girl in critical condition.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Dupont Road West, near Lima Road, at 2:24 p.m. Monday to reports about an unknown problem, Fort Wayne police spokeswoman Raquel Foster said Monday.

The 4-year-old sustained a critical head injury and was taken to a hospital.

Police are interviewing all parties involved, according to a statement.

As of 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, the girl remained in critical condition and no arrests had been made, police said in a written statement issued Tuesday afternoon.
