IU baseball facility gets name

Indiana University will name its new baseball facility Bart Kaufman Field in honor of a major gift to IU Athletics from Bart Kaufman, a former IU baseball player and chairman and CEO of Indianapolis-area Kaufman Financial Corp. Kaufman played on IU's baseball team in 1961 and 1962, earning All Big Ten honors twice, and was the second leading hitter in the Big Ten in 1961. Construction is expected to begin in the spring with completion scheduled in time for the 2013 season.
