And Another Thing

Fan of the year

Cheers to little Emma Burton of Olathe, Kan., who's become an internet sensation since pluckily refusing to complete a coloring assignment because it involved coloring the Kansas University mascot.

Emma, you see, may only be 5, but she knows about loyalty. And her heart belongs to Kansas' rival, Kansas State.

To make a long story short, she was eventually convinced by her parents to relent, and also apologize to her teacher. But she wrote her apology on a printout of the K-State mascot (which she dutifully colored in purple and gray, the school colors), and insisted on wearing her Kansas State shirt to school the next day.

And the original assignment?

Went right in the family trash as soon as she got home.

You go, girl.
